Q: Do you use digital photography? A: Yes! New Image Studio has been all digital since 2001. There are so many advantages to capturing your images digitally that we wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some of the ways that our clients benefit from digital technology:
A: New Image Studio began in 1989 as a one person shop, but has grown into a full service photographic design studio with several full time artists and talented freelance photographers to serve you. Q: What is New Image Studio's primary business? A: New Image Studio specializes in Wedding and Bridal photography. You can also count on us for your portrait and commercial photography needs. Q: What should I wear for my Portrait Session? A: The clothing you choose is an important element in how your individual, couple, or family portrait will look when it is finished. We would be glad to discuss options with you so that you will look your best for your portrait. Our first suggestion is, check out the way our other clients are dressed in the images on this website. Which ones do you like? In the studio, we have other samples we can also show you. Q: How experienced are your photographers? A: Every photographer that represents New Image Studio spends at least a year as an apprentice until we feel sure they are ready to give our clients the service and the results they expect. Most of our photographers had art and/or photography experience prior to their training with New Image Studio. Five of our photographers were New Image Studio clients who connected so strongly with our style that they wanted to work with us! Our apprenticeship training includes attending seminars, professional texts, and extensive on-the-job training with our lead photographers. Q: If I choose New Image Studio, which photographer will be assigned to me? A: There are several ways that we can match you up with the right photographer for you:
Q: Will I get to meet with my wedding photographer? A: Of course! You can meet or talk to your photographer before you book New Image Studio. Also, before your wedding, your photographer will call you so that you will have the opportunity to discuss your event with them in more detail. These conversations will give you and your photographer a chance to get to know one another and also allow you to nail down the details of you wedding day schedule. Q: If I have contracted for a particular photographer, can I be sure that is the photographer I will get on the day of my wedding? A: The answer to that is, yes! If you contract with one photographer we will not substitute another photographer. If however, something serious were to happen to your photographer so that they absolutely could not meet their commitment; New Image Studio has the depth of talent available so that you will not find yourself at the last moment without a photographer. If that unlikely event were to occur, we would do everything possible to allow you to get to know the replacement photographer and view their work prior to your wedding. Our photographers are professionals who take their work seriously, only the direst emergency would ever cause us to have to change your photographer. Q: When would you suggest I book New Image Studio as my wedding photography studio? A: If you like our work and want to be assured of getting the photographer of your choice, we recommend you book a year in advance. But if it is much closer to your date and you are still looking for the right photographer, don't hesitate to call and we will be glad to check our availability Q: How many photographers will New Image Studio provide for my wedding day? A: You will be contracting for one particular lead photographer to be responsible for your wedding day photography. But New Image Studio photographers never travel alone! There will be two people at your wedding to be sure you get the best possible service on your day. Q: How would you classify the New Image Studio style of wedding day photography? A: New Image Studio photographers specialize in a style of photography known as "photojournalistic". They will document the unfolding story of your day unobtrusively, following the flow and the style of your day. Our photographers are not there to control or direct your event; instead we focus our artist's eyes and capture those precious moments as they occur. We will also capture those group portraits that your family and bridal party will expect, and some beautiful images of the two of you. Your photographer will plan with you when, where, and how best to capture these more traditional images. Q: When should I have my Engagement or Bridal Portrait Sessions? A: If you would like an engagement image to appear in the newspaper, we recommend you have your Engagement Portrait Session a few months prior to your wedding day. If you are looking for an image of the two of you to display at your reception as a portrait or a signboard, the session can take place closer to your wedding day. We recommend at least one month in advance. Your Bridal Portrait Session can take place as close to your wedding day as 4 weeks. While you are making your plans, be sure to have your gown ordered well in advance and your fitting scheduled so that you will have it ready for your Portrait Session. Donít forget your hair and flowers! Q: Where do you recommend the Engagement or Bridal Portrait Session take place? A: We have a fully equipped studio space and would be glad to do your session inside, but we prefer outdoor portraits. We find it is easier for our clients to relax and be natural in an outdoor setting than in the studio, and the backdrop of nature canít be duplicated! Depending on the time of year, we have several locations which we can recommend. Our wedding packages include on-location coverage, so there is no additional fee for locations within Wake County. Q: Do you offer videography? A: At this time, we do not offer video services, but we would be happy to recommend a videographer. Q: What is your pricing for weddings? A: Each wedding is unique, but we do have several standard wedding packages that we offer. Our weddings begin at about $2390 for a four hour wedding and you can add hours from there. Please see our wedding album section for examples and specifics of the albums that we offer. Q: Will you travel? Is there a travel fee? A: Yes, we would be glad to consider traveling! Please give us a call with your specific needs and we will let you know whether we can assist you, and give you a quote for the travel fee. Q: Are there any extra fees that I should expect above the package price for my wedding? A: Your paperwork will thoroughly outline for you what is included in your package, and we will go over everything with you in detail, so there should be no surprises. We offer a number of things you may wish to add-on, and an additional pricing sheet will be included in your packet for your convenience. A few things you may want to add would be a frame for your portrait, and any additional images beyond those that are included in your package, (like reprints for your friends and family). If we will be traveling outside of Wake County for your event, a travel fee will be added, but we will discuss this with you as we go through the process together. Q: How long after the wedding will my images be presented to me? A: You will view an incredible personalized slideshow of your images approximately ten days after your wedding day. You will see all of the best images that were captured on your day (no limit). We will also provide you with an internet slideshow of the "best of the best" and a custom presentation booklet of all the images. If you would like, we can place your proofs on a secure website that you can share with your family and friends. If you live away from the area, we will upload your images for you to view and email you the link for the slideshow. We can also work with you through your album design process via the internet. It is easy! We would be glad to walk you through our process. Q: How much control do I have over album design? How long will the design process take? A: The album will be designed with the images you choose! We ask when you are selecting your images that you choose a certain number of images you would like for us to feature. Then we ask that you identify all the images you do not want in your album. That leaves our designers with a third group of images to use at their discretion. When you place your order, our professional designers will work with you so that they have a good idea of your preferences and style. Then they will custom design an album specifically for you. It usually takes about 8 to 12 weeks from when you place your order to create a design for your approval. The next step is to view your design. This is your opportunity to make any changes to your design. A designer will sit with you, and together you will discuss any changes that may be necessary. Most often we find that our clients love what we do and make minimal changes or none at all. After you have approved your design, it will take another 1 to 6 weeks for you to receive your final album, depending on the album style you choose. |
